Little Free Library Festival On May 21st

Saturday, May 21 is going to be epic! Free books. Live storytelling, poetry and music. A 100-Library build. Free haircuts for kids. Larry Long will be present with his friends and guests to absorb the spirit of the Little Free Library Festival that they will transform into a “Lyrical Mural” to be performed at the close of the day.

The Little Free Library Festival will be held on May 21st, 2016 from10:00am-4:00pm at Minnehaha Park, 4801 S. Minnehaha Dr., Minneapolis, MN 55417.

  • Bring books to share in our massive book swap
  • Don’t miss a live storytelling event from NPR’s Kevin Kling

  • Dogs in crazy costumes (Think: A mini-schnauzer dressed as F. Scotty Fitzgerald!)
  • Skip the haircut, get a free haircuts for your kids from the Storybook Barbers!
  • Enjoy random acts of poetry throughout the day
  • Donate to the Tutu Challenge, LFL’s spring fundraiser! You can participate no matter where you are:
  • Show off you knowledge of Harry Potter with Harry Potter Trivia
  • Enjoy live music from the Brass Messengers
  • Stroll the grounds, get free books and read with scenic overlooks of Minnehaha Falls
